“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered…. I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies…. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.” ~ Thomas Jefferson
In the aftermath of the 2016 election, many Americans have fallen into the trap of trusting that the government will solve their problems and that they can just return to some sense of normality. Newsflash: This is a process! The whole idea of taking back our sovereignty along with the control of those in the government that are supposed to be our public servants (not the reverse), requires much more participation than just voting in a new president. We need to be reminded of the stark facts that we face, and abandon the wishful thinking that has taken over our ability to rationalize. Let us get down to work, and stop relying on the same system that cannot truly deliver what we need to restore this republic!
If you are new to the political scene, you might want to start with some history of how this country has slipped from being that shining beacon of freedom, to a body of states being represented by an occupied capitol in DC that wages war, while flying our flag. Not only do they wage war against others globally, but they also carry out this war against us as at home. This I believe is the and hardest part for Americans to grasp. If we indeed want to “drain the swamp” then we can accept nothing short of taking our jurisdiction back, the real Constitution of 1789, or we will most likely be beaten this time for good. Our founding fathers reminded us that without participation we will never be a ‘free’ people, nor do we deserve it! Please see the video below to give you a starting point.
As explained in the video, we now stand at a crucial point in history once again. We can demand nothing less than to break away from the Federal Reserve and return to the banking system as per our Constitution, where Congress regulates and coins our money, or we face a possible world war that the central bankers have been trying to propel us into since 9/11. Debt Slavery no longer works for the people as we know, and this is one of the reasons that most Americans got up and voted for Donald J. Trump. They sense something is wrong, but due to the lack of civics and distorted history in our schools for so many generations, they do not know where and how to seek remedy. Once again they leave it to Washington, hoping for a miracle from the President elect.
I believe, as many Americans do, or WANT to believe, that he will deliver on his promise to “Make America Great Again”. I see world leaders that are changing from the globalist narrative back to nationalism. We see this herein the US, in Russia-under Vladimir Putin, and a wave of it crossing the fascist ruled EU since the success of the Brexit vote. I also believe this Revolution 2.0 MUST be fought, in order to free ourselves once again, but this takes much more than electing a president (in our case another CEO of the corporation called DC since the act of 1871). All of the rioting and the false flag attacks are no accident, it is merely the bankers at work trying to stir things up in hopes that they may divide the country enough to aggravate and incite civil war, the result of an economic collapse that is headed our way, by design, if we continue to let others solve our daily affairs and economy. The level of corruption in DC clearly tells us that they do not, and have not served our interests for a very long time.
President elect Trump risks what presidents Andrew Jackson, Lincoln, JFK, and Reagan endured if he were to act in our interest and return us to the America he speaks of. The one we all dream of, but is this wishful thinking on our part, to think he will really accomplish this huge task alone without being attacked by these central bankers? There is no middle road. We are either that sovereign nation under the Constitution and Bill of Rights, or we continue let them carry on the CHARADE that we are. This is fraud, and some of us are working to set it right, despite what they say or do. We continue our silent revolution 2.0 by holding all three branches accountable, along with the bankers and the non elected UN oligarchs that push on with their fascist “one world government agenda.”
America, stop relying on them! Do you always put all of your eggs in one basket? … Please join us at http://www.nationallibertyalliance.org as we work to regain our real jurisdiction. All of this confusion, and the nation’s inability to understand what truly
must be done, eats up the clock, as they march us toward a final conflict that we may never recuperate from. In fact, you can BET they would use a thermo nuclear war, rather than to back down and concede to Donald J. Trump or the “we the people.”, the ones they have buzz word for: Right Wing Nationalists! We have work to do, despite what they are brewing in DC or at the UN, even as far as Vatican City & London.
Roll up your sleeves, and join us, along with your new president elect!

Editor’s Comment: It is as if society has been perfectly engineered to be divided against itself. There is no doubt that the social justice warriors have lost their marbles, and would criminalize free speech in the name of protecting hurt feelings and politically-correct sacred cows. At the same time, Trump’s controversial presence seems almost tailor made to anger the other side of the aisle and drive Americans caught in the middle into supporting the tyranny of one side or another.
The biggest problem is that this nonsense is sure to escalate until a crowded parade of label-identities clash against each other, and leave the elites who pull the strings forgotten and overlooked – cleared by default from blame as the lower echelons of devolve into civil war and unrest… which will surely be checked by a powerful and growing police state (in the name of keeping the peace). Did anyone remember our rights in all of this? How did America fall so far?
The Social Justice Cult Should Blame Itself For The Rise Of Trump
by Brandon Smith
I have not been writing much concerning the U.S. election this November, and with good reason — elections are always a distraction from tangible solutions. They are an anathema to honest debate; a circus of delusions and prefabricated talking points. They offer the illusion of choice in order to placate the masses. They are a theater of false hopes.
That said, elections do accomplish one thing very well — they are great for mobilizing large numbers of people into opposing camps and pitting them against each other over ideologies and political celebrities. Sometimes, these elections can lead to internal war. This is where we stand in 2016.
In my article Will A Trump Presidency Really Change Anything For The Better, published in March, I outlined why I believed that the election of 2016 would revolve around a Trump vs. Hillary free-for-all. The two sides are perfectly diametrically opposed. At least, as far as public image is concerned, one is the exact antithesis to the other, and I don’t think this is a coincidence.
Over the course of the past century social instability and outright internal conflicts have in most cases been the product of a specific catalyst — namely various flavors of Marxism and communism. That is to say, communists attempt to socially or economically sabotage conservative or free market based systems with civil unrest and political chicanery, and in response, nations are either overrun by color revolution or they swing to the other side of the collectivist spectrum and resort to fascism.
This is often by design. As I have examined in detail in numerous articles in the past, it is the financial elite that tend to play BOTH sides of this modern battle between the communists and the “nationalists,” usually promoting or supporting groups with communist leanings, radicalizing them and exploiting them to drive normally level headed conservatives to respond with anger and totalitarianism to keep them at bay. Of course, these totalitarian regimes also end up under the control of the establishment. It is the best way to hijack and co-opt a conservative population.
Today, we have a similarly pervasive communism in the West funded by the same kinds of elites, only in the form of a more frantic style of cultural Marxism. One need only examine the cash infusions by billionaires like George Soros and his Open Society Institute into Black Lives Matter as well as other “social justice” organizations.
Under the guise of philanthropy, global financiers exploit mindless followers and the entitlement mob like a heavy bludgeon, swinging them wildly at any cultural mainstay that represents the bedrock of the target nation. Apparently, the irony is completely lost on the social justice warriors, who completely ignore the fact that rich white guys are bankrolling their battle against… rich white guys.
It is important to note that while the financial establishment is the very CORE of the problem and the primary instigator and manipulator of the public psyche (they have this down to a science), their success in these endeavors would not be as frequent without so many mindless followers and academic idiots to perpetuate the momentum of chaos. These groups share almost as much blame as the elites in the destruction of civility and prosperity.
In this age of unstable economies and societies, there are many people who are desperate to be told what to do rather than lead themselves. However, none are quite as horrifying as the social justice cultists.
These people are, in my view, nearly the pinnacle of the communist ideal. They are die hard collectivists, and are willing to rationalize almost any action as long as they believe it is being done in the name of the “greater good.” Usually, this greater good is based on entirely arbitrary determinations rather than any inherent moral code, making it vaporous and easily changeable. A “greater good” without principles based in inherent conscience or natural law can be shifted on a whim to suit any evil imaginable.
They believe fervently in the purity of their world view. Most of them are not open to even the slightest question or concern over their ethos. Their blind faith is unshakeable, even in the face of extensive empirical evidence and superior logic. Such people are the ultimate cannon fodder for the elites.
Social justice cultists act on the assumption that history is on their side, and that they will one day be seen as heroes for their deeds.
They not only seek to promote and spread their ideology — this would merely make them a new form of religion. No, they are not just evangelists, they also want their own version of a caliphate; an all dominating cult that crushes any embers of dissent and destroys its philosophical opponents trapped within its ever expanding borders.
A recent and starling example of this mentality can be found in the following video of a BBC show called “The Big Questions.” The subject of the debate — “Does social media reveal men’s hatred for women?” Milo Yiannopoulos faces off with a crowd of mouth breathing true-believers and barely gets a word in edgewise as they do what cultural Marxists do best: use the mob to shout down their opponent and attack the person’s character rather than confront his arguments and evidence:
Though this show is produced out of the U.K. and not the U.S., I am using it to shed light on the inevitable end game of all social justice cultists regardless of where they live — to dominate all discussion and erase conservative thought from society. The attitudes displayed by the feminists and the rather pathetic members of the audience are truly frightening. Not only do they argue that Yiannoupoulos has no right to even be dignified with time to respond, they are at bottom also claiming the right to assert force of law to ban ideas they disagree with and even to imprison the people that argue those ideas.
Instead of simply ignoring or blocking the people who offend them like rational adults, or participating in a free exchange, they want the power of government to silence opposition. If their ideas were truly superior in merit then they would have no need to use force to silence or imprison their opponents. They want to turn the whole of the web, the whole of the WORLD, into a federally enforced “safe space” for their ideology and their ideology alone.
It is this kind of zealotry that leads to outright totalitarianism and collectivism. This is the kind of evil that is done in the name of the so-called “greater good.”
The fact is, their feelings are irrelevant. They do not matter. Most rational people don’t care if SJWs are offended, or afraid or disgusted and indignant. Their problems are not our problems. Our right to free expression and freedom of association is far more important than their personal feelings or misgivings. We do not owe them a safe space. If they want a safe space, then they should hide in their hovels or crawl back to the rancid swamps from whence they slithered.
A backlash is building against the social justice cult that will be unleashed sooner rather than later, and so far it is accelerating at the height of the election frenzy under the banner of Donald Trump.
Social justice warriors seem to find themselves befuddled at the rise of Trump, but as I predicted in March, a Trump vs. Hillary face-off was inevitable.
For conservatives, Hillary is the ultimate representation of political hell spawn. She is a proven elitist puppet, with a criminal record that reads like a transcript from the Nuremberg trials. She is also a part of an ongoing trend of dynasties in U.S. politics. Americans have grown tired of the Bushes and the Clintons. We have grown tired of the endless reign of neo-cons and neo-liberals. We are looking something different, or what we hope is something different. Trump at first glance at least looks like a candidate outside of the establishment norm.
Beyond this increasing aversion to the status quo, though, is the growing American contempt for the social justice cult. This will be a primary driver of the U.S. election.
While many in the cult had thrown their support behind Bernie Sanders for a time, Bernie showed his true colors by bowing down to the Clinton machine. This is typical of socialists, who regularly forgo their proclaimed principles in the name of “unity” and “victory” under a single collectivist umbrella. Many in the social justice crowd have quickly jumped on Hillary’s bandwagon, as her campaign now rides solely on the disposition of her own sexual organs.
That is to say, Clinton is now the new mascot for the SJW crowd, even though many of them don’t really like her.
I’m not so sure the “vote for me because I’m a woman” theme is going to go over quite as effectively as Obama’s “vote for me because I’m black” theme. The Hillary campaign symbol, looking strangely like a warped version of the arrowed symbol for “Male” and Mars, is emblazoned on worshipful feminist posters and cartoons everywhere. A nice touch was the cringe-worthy display of Clinton’s giant head on the DNC mega-screen bashing through photos of past male presidents as if “shattering” the proverbial glass ceiling. Set aside the fact that over half of American voters are women, and that there is no glass ceiling preventing women from being voted into office by other women if being a woman rather than a decent candidate was all that mattered.
The theater of the feminist absurd aside, this election is going to tumble about wildly on all sorts of carnival sideshows.
The so called “controversy” over comments made by Trump against the parents of a Muslim soldier killed in U.S. service in Iraq is just the beginning of the circus. To be fair to Trump, the sheer hypocrisy of Hillary Clinton, a warmonger of the highest degree and a participant by-proxy in the death of the soldier in question, using his parents as fuel for a campaign controversy goes so far into the realm of the disturbing that I might be shocked if I didn’t understand that the whole thing is a mind game. These kinds of distractions are meant to fuel the flames and I predict they will become frequent and overwhelming by November.
To reiterate, it is clear that the Clinton campaign is going the route of pandering to the SJWs. This is the script, and I as I said after the Brexit referendum vote, I believe that the script ends with a Clinton failure and a Trump victory. Pandering to SJWs rarely leads to success. And, a faltering economy blamed on Trump would be far preferable to one blamed on Clinton.
My regular readers know well that I personally do not have much faith in the Trump campaign; I’ve seen too many constitutional inconsistencies and too many meetings with elitist representatives so far to give him the benefit of the doubt. If he turns out to be a true constitutionalist, then I will be pleasantly surprised and happy to admit I was wrong.
That said, I do understand why the public is rallying around Trump. They see him not as a candidate, but as a vehicle to push forward a fight against a social justice juggernaut that has gone unanswered for far too long. They don’t much care about him as a man, which is why the character attacks by the social justice cult and the media have fallen flat again and again. They only care that he might not be the status quo. They are looking for something radical to counter the radicalism of cultural Marxists.
I am not here to argue over which candidate is “better,” or preferable or the “lesser of evils.” None of this matters. I realize that I am not going to convince anyone to vote in anyway different than how they have already decided to vote. In fact, I am certain that most people decided exactly how they were going to vote as soon as the candidates were publicly finalized.
The zealotry will be evident on both sides. Democrats will accuse me of being biased in favor of Trump because I outline in articles the endless parade of horrors surrounding Clinton’s career. Republicans will accuse me of “secretly working for the Democrats” because I refuse to throw full blind faith behind Trump. That’s just how elections work – follow my mascot or you are my enemy.
I really couldn’t care less. I’m on the side of liberty and individualism and I’ll fight on this side alone if I have to.
I will say that I KNOW exactly what will happen under Hillary Clinton – despotism in the name of “equality”, leading to outright civil war. I only SUSPECT according to what I have seen so far that Trump is not a constitutional candidate.
The danger is that in our search for the counterbalance to social justice despotism and Hillary Clinton’s evident communist addictions, we conservatives will fall into the old historical paradigm of fascism in the name of defeating communism, helping the elites instead of dethroning them. The danger is that we get so caught up in trying to destroy the social justice mob that we forget our principles.
If a President Trump shows any indications of being anti-constitution, even in the name of our own “greater good,” conservatives MUST stand by our ideals and stand against him, or we become no better than the SJW psychopaths we seek to stop. No man, no woman, no president is more important than the liberties and heritage of this nation and its citizenry.
As far as social justice activists are concerned, if they really want to change this country for the better, then they should consider dropping out of their little cult and finding something productive to do. Stop spending your parents’ money on garbage gender studies classes. Become scientists and engineers. Become doctors and inventors. Create a better planet through ingenuity rather than manic ideology. Make yourselves useful or something. You’re not only wasting your own time wreaking havoc with your collectivism, you are also wasting our time, because now we have to spend it working to stop you and the elites that fund you.
Become self sufficient instead of begging for handouts or feeding off your family and their savings accounts. Add to the world instead of bleeding it dry. Help people through personal action instead of trying to micro-manage their lives and their speech and their thoughts through force of government.
Otherwise, all you are is more gasoline on a fire that will result in inevitable conflict; a conflict which you will lose. A conflict which may only serve the interests of the very elites which you think you are fighting against. Remember, whatever happens, it was the social justice cult that helped to create the conditions by which such a conflict became unavoidable. Without the cultural Marxists, there would be no rationale for any division. If they would simply leave us all alone to think and say what we feel, to choose our associations without interference or invasive conquest of “spaces” and to live in a functioning society based on merit rather than victimhood and artificial fear, there would be no fertile ground for an election circus of this magnitude.
And finally, if EVERYONE relied less on political celebrities, if everyone stopped waiting for a knight on a white horse, or a feminist icon, or a crusade to fight, or a social justice mob to join and started determining their own futures; if everyone began looking far more carefully at the people behind the curtain, then perhaps we could finally see a change in humanity not seen in thousands of years. Not a collectivist change, but an individualist change, which is the only kind of change everlasting or worth a damn.

Globalism was exposed to the world in neon colors during the 2016 US election year and the world seems to be following the fashion trend. I must give credit to those across the pond in the U.K. for their Brexit as well! We still have a lot of work to do, but the paradigm shift was well needed.
Donald J. Trump invited Ted Cruz to speak at the Republican National Convention, to celebrate the unity of the party, and to join him in their fight against Hillary Clinton, but Ted just could not step up to the plate. He rudely failed to endorse Trump, and got booed off the stage, as his wife scurried for the exit signs. Bush establishment types like him and Paul Ryan just cannot accept defeat. Humanity clearly had endured enough, this was evident. The nationalism of red, white, and blue seems to be the new black, but with the harsh awakening of what our republic really means to us in the eleventh hour, with the possibility of losing it all.
What the press failed to understand about the “non establishment” Presidential Republican Nominee Donald J. Trump, seemed to be a lot… still, as they have stumbled through his campaign only to be outwitted repeatedly. The more they attack him, Americans take each blow personally, and the stronger his long awaited anti globalist populism spreads into the hearts and minds of others world wide.
This is a fight against these “globalists” that have tried to “fundamentally change America.”
From GHW Bush’s talk of a NWO, to Bill Clinton’s crime wave, GW Bush’s illegitimate wars, the unconstitutional Patriot Act, Barack Obama’s staged shootings to appease the UN’s NDAA (an assault on the Second Amendment), the open borders -NAFTA policies that have hurt and endangered the lives of Americans, and finally Hillary Clinton the wrecking ball. the chosen one by the elite to finish us off … people simply have had enough, everywhere!
It was a matter of choice for Ted Cruz, to graciously endorse the nominee as promised, or to prove to the world that he really is a stooge for the “cabal” that has been running the globalist agenda… AND America into the ground with it. Donald J.Trump merely gave him a platform, a rope so to speak, and Ted Cruz chose to hang himself with the opportunity. Finally, many mislead Cruz voters, along with press and the rest of the world, now know the true meaning and origin of the term ‘Lyin Ted’. Ted is far from alone as we have seen in one scandal after another, the press complicit, and our De facto government is finally unable to carry on the charade any longer.
Just as the EU woke up in a fascist state, the US could see it coming, though some are still slow to awaken, Trump created a movement that has shaken them to the core, while simultaneously providing a light in the darkness with a brighter vision for what lays ahead. Many Americans had forgotten what it felt like to have someone advocate for them, to care. It had brought us together in the silent revolution taking place, and it felt great, despite being attacked by paid rioters, trolls, and the press !
It is my observation, that through these last few years of confusion and change, many of us wanted to blame one person or one event for the globalist elite’s attack on humanity, and the attempted destruction of the US. As I dug deeper, and chased history into the rabbit hole of deception, I realized it was many events over many years, and many people in this group of ‘globalists that are responsible. Ted Cruz is one of the many and could not have announced it louder than he did that night on a world stage. The reaction was a clear dismissal of global policy by the people of this country.
Say ain’t so… was the stance we all took on the road to our awakening, to the fact that so many people could be bought and sold to commit treasonous acts against our homeland. We wanted to think it was just one thing that went wrong, or one person that sold us out. In the end we have unraveled a tightly woven lplan that is very severe toward humanity, not just America. It is a vast potpourri of puppet masters, that have outgrown the soil that they once prospered from.
It has taken Donald J. Trump, a man with enough courage to stir the pot up, and start a movement across the world, by simply saying NO to these people.
He proven to be adaptable and has stamina that leaves us breathless.
Those that live in fear of their government will continue to be tyrannized by them, and be booed off the stage in the future. For those of us that refuse to fear a lawless and oppressive regime, the sky is the limit, and America still stands as a beacon of Freedom. There is a lot of hope, and it’s “HUGE”!!! MC

“The main problem in any democracy is that crowd-pleasers are generally brainless swine who can go out on a stage & whup their supporters into an orgiastic frenzy—then go back to the office & sell every one of the poor bastards down the tube for a nickel apiece.” ― Hunter S. Thompson
Politics today is not about Republicans and Democrats.
Nor is it about healthcare, abortion, higher taxes, free college tuition, or any of the other buzzwords that have become campaign slogans for individuals who have mastered the art of telling Americans exactly what they want to hear.
Politics today is about one thing and one thing only: maintaining the status quo between the Controllers (the politicians, the bureaucrats, and the corporate elite) and the Controlled (the taxpayers).
Hillary will not save the nation. Nor will Bernie, Trump, Rubio, or Cruz.
The only ones who can save the nation are “we the people,” and yet the American people remain eager to be persuaded that a new president in the White House can solve the problems that plague us.
No matter who wins this next presidential election, you can rest assured that the new boss will be the same as the old boss, and we—the permanent underclass in America—will continue to be forced to march in lockstep with the police state in all matters, public and private.
Indeed, as I point out in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, it really doesn’t matter what you call them—the 1%, the elite, the controllers, the masterminds, the shadow government, the police state, the surveillance state, the military industrial complex—so long as you understand that no matter which party occupies the White House in 2017, the unelected bureaucracy that actually calls the shots will continue to do so.
Consider the following a much-needed reality check, an antidote if you will, against an overdose of overhyped campaign announcements, lofty electoral promises and meaningless patriotic sentiments that land us right back in the same prison cell.
FACT: According to a scientific study by Princeton researchers, the United States of America is not the democracy that it purports to be, but rather an oligarchy, in which “economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy.”
FACT: Despite the fact that the number of violent crimes in the country is down substantially, the lowest rate in forty years, the number of Americans being jailed for nonviolent crimes such as driving with a suspended license is skyrocketing.
FACT: Thanks to an overabundance of 4,500-plus federal crimes and 400,000-plus rules and regulations, it is estimated that the average American actually commits three felonies a day without knowing it. In fact, according to law professor John Baker, “There is no one in the United States over the age of 18 who cannot be indicted for some federal crime. That is not an exaggeration.”
FACT: Despite the fact that we have 46 million Americans living at or below the poverty line, 16 million children living in households without adequate access to food, and at least 900,000 veterans relying on food stamps, enormous sums of taxpayer money continue to be doled out for presidential vacations ($16 million for trips to Africa and Hawaii), overtime fraud at the Department of Homeland Security (nearly $9 million in improper overtime claims, and that’s just in six of the DHS’ many offices)HurricaHur, and Hollywood movie productions ($10 million in taxpayer money was spent by the Army National Guard on Superman movie tie-ins aimed at increasing awareness about the National Guard).
FACT: Since 2001 Americans have spent $10.5 million every hour for numerous foreign military occupations, including in Iraq and Afghanistan. There’s also the $2.2 million spent every hour on maintaining the United States’ nuclear stockpile, and the $35,000 spent every hour to produce and maintain our collection of Tomahawk missiles. And then there’s the money the government exports to other countries to support their arsenals, at the cost of $1.61 million every hour for the American taxpayers.
FACT: It is estimated that 2.7 million children in the United States have at least one parent in prison, whether it be a local jail or a state or federal penitentiary, due to a wide range of factors ranging from overcriminalization and surprise raids at family homes to roadside traffic stops.
FACT: According to a Gallup poll, Americans place greater faith in the military and the police than in any of the three branches of government.
FACT: “Today, 17,000 local police forces are equipped with such military equipment as Blackhawk helicopters, machine guns, grenade launchers, battering rams, explosives, chemical sprays, body armor, night vision, rappelling gear and armored vehicles,” reports Paul Craig Roberts, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury. “Some have tanks.”
FACT: At least 400 to 500 innocent people are killed by police officers every year. Indeed, Americans are now eight times more likely to die in a police confrontation than they are to be killed by a terrorist. Americans are 110 times more likely to die of foodborne illness than in a terrorist attack.
FACT: On an average day in America, over 100 Americans have their homes raided by SWAT teams. Most of those SWAT team raids are for a mere warrant service. There has been a notable buildup in recent years of heavily armed SWAT teams within non-security-related federal agencies such as the Department of Agriculture, the Railroad Retirement Board, the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Office of Personnel Management, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Education Department.
FACT: The FBI’s Next Generation Identification (NGI) facial recognition system, which is set to hold data on millions of Americans, will include a variety of biometric data, including palm prints, iris scans, and face recognition data. The NGI will be capable of uploading 55,000 images a day, and conducting tens of thousands of photo searches daily.
FACT: Comprising an $82 billion industry, at least 30,000 drones are expected to occupy U.S. airspace by 2020.
FACT: Everything we do will eventually be connected to the Internet. By 2030 it is estimated there will be 100 trillion sensor devices connecting human electronic devices (cell phones, laptops, etc.) to the Internet. Much, if not all, of our electronic devices will be connected to Google, which openly works with government intelligence agencies. Virtually everything we do now—no matter how innocent—is being collected by the spying American police state.
FACT: Americans know virtually nothing about their history or how their government works. In fact, according to a study by the National Constitution Center, 41 percent of Americans “are not aware that there are three branches of government, and 62 percent couldn’t name them; 33 percent couldn’t even name one.”
FACT: Only six out of every one hundred Americans know that they actually have a constitutional right to hold the government accountable for wrongdoing, as guaranteed by the right to petition clause of the First Amendment.
Perhaps the most troubling fact of all is this: we have handed over control of our government and our lives to faceless bureaucrats who view us as little more than cattle to be bred, branded, butchered and sold for profit.
If there is to be any hope of restoring our freedoms and reclaiming control over our government, it will rest not with the politicians but with the people themselves.
When all is said and done, each American will have to decide for themselves whether they prefer dangerous freedom to peaceful slavery. One thing is for sure: the reassurance ritual of voting is not going to advance freedom one iota.

From Charles Murray Writing at the American Enterprise Institute:
If you are dismayed by Trumpism, don’t kid yourself that it will fade away if Donald Trump fails to win the Republican nomination. Trumpism is an expression of the legitimate anger that many Americans feel about the course that the country has taken, and its appearance was predictable. It is the endgame of a process that has been going on for a half-century: America’s divestment of its historic national identity.
For the eminent political scientist Samuel Huntington, writing in his last book, “Who Are We?” (2004), two components of that national identity stand out. One is our Anglo-Protestant heritage, which has inevitably faded in an America that is now home to many cultural and religious traditions. The other is the very idea of America, something unique to us. As the historian Richard Hofstadter once said, “It has been our fate as a nation not to have ideologies but to be one.”
What does this ideology—Huntington called it the “American creed”—consist of? Its three core values may be summarized as egalitarianism, liberty and individualism. From these flow other familiar aspects of the national creed that observers have long identified: equality before the law, equality of opportunity, freedom of speech and association, self-reliance, limited government, free-market economics, decentralized and devolved political authority.
As recently as 1960, the creed was our national consensus. Running that year for the Democratic nomination, candidates like John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and Hubert Humphrey genuinely embraced the creed, differing from Republicans only in how its elements should be realized.
Today, the creed has lost its authority and its substance. What happened? Many of the dynamics of the reversal can be found in developments across the whole of American society: in the emergence of a new upper class and a new lower class, and in the plight of the working class caught in between.
But these are fragments of the population, not the national consensus that bound the U.S. together for the first 175 years of the nation’s existence. And just as support for the American creed has shrunk, so has its correspondence to daily life. Our vaunted liberty is now constrained by thousands of petty restrictions that touch almost anything we want to do, individualism is routinely ignored in favor of group rights, and we have acquired an arrogant upper class. Operationally as well as ideologically, the American creed is shattered.

After nearly six years of negotiations, trade ministers recently announced they had reached agreement on the text of the Trans-Pacific Partnership. This does not mean the TPP is a done deal. The next hurdle for this rigged corporate power grab is to convince the participating governments, including Congress, to ratify it. In the United States, the trade justice movement, which has grown to be broad and diverse, can stop the TPP.
Here are two immediate actions you can take to stop the TPP: Click on the links to sign the petition telling Congress to reject the TPP and register for the mass mobilization in Washington in November.
Both chambers of Congress must ratify the TPP by a majority vote using a process called “fast track.” The trade justice movement fought a multi-year campaign to prevent Congress from giving the president fast-track trade authority. We delayed it for much longer than the corporate traders wanted, forcing the TPP into the election year. Since the TPP is “Toxic Political Poison,” an election year is not when they wanted to consider it. The corporate traders were required to compromise to pass fast track. One key compromise was making the text of the agreement public for 60 days before Congress considers it. This is a tremendous opportunity to educate and mobilize people.
Just after the TPP negotiators reached an agreement, we asked Ralph Nader if the TPP could be stopped. He said, “It will be stopped on its demerits.” He further noted its wide impact, saying, “Its scope is everything,” and described it as a “global corporate coup … the most brazen corporate power grab in American history.” The TPP, he said, is “a major peril to our national authority” that is “ceding our sovereignty, ceding our self-reliance, ceding everything we can do within the boundaries of the United States.”
He described how it takes legislative authority away from Congress and the White House and gives it to trade officials and trade tribunals. Nader described how it undermines the civil justice system, the third branch of government, and the federal court system because of trade tribunals with corporate lawyer-judges whose decisions cannot be reviewed by the federal courts. Nader described the TPP as “democracy suppression.”
If you care about corporate power versus democracy, and about jobs, the environment, health care, food, water, energy, climate, regulation of banks and more, then stopping the TPP needs to be a top priority. The agreement comes after six years of secret negotiations — secret to the public, media and elected representatives but not to hundreds of transnational corporations, their lobbyists and lawyers.
The deal is fragile. Negotiators had been near agreement for more than a year and the final two meetings were a struggle. The controversy around this the agreement will come out when it is made public and goes through national legislatures.
The campaign to stop the TPP and other rigged corporate trade agreements is planning ongoing actions. From Nov.14 to 18, when President Barack Obama and U.S. Trade Representative Michael Froman are in Asia for economic meetings, major actions will be held in Washington. Click here to register. People are sending emails to congressional leaders urging them to stop the TPP. A full-court press is planned for when the TPP is brought to Congress.
Politics of TPP getting complicated in Washington
The TPP will not have an easy time in Congress. Leading presidential candidates and congressional leaders have expressed opposition or serious reservations. And, some major corporate interests are opposed. An election year is not the time for controversial legislation, and the toxic TPP will be controversial.
The key will be the House of Representatives. Mega-transnational corporations and Obama are making passage a top priority. House Speaker John Boehner did too, and he was forced to resign because of his bullying tactics. He aggressively pressured Republicans to give Obama fast-track authority, pushing about 30 Republicans who opposed fast track to vote for it. After the vote, he punished those who opposed him, removed them from subcommittee chairmanships and from the Republican leadership. The Caucus revolted, and some of Boehner’s decisions had to be reversed. Members of the Caucus called for his replacement, and rather than fight that battle, Boehner resigned.
If this “Toxic Political Poison” can remove a Speaker of the House, will the next Speaker make passing the TPP a priority? Will he risk his career for Obama’s top priority?
During the final negotiations key members of both parties wrote the Obama administration, warning there is no guarantee TPP will be approved by Congress. Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Rep. Sander Levin (D-MI), said they better not bring back a bad deal because Congress will not support it. After the deal was announced, Hatch, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee and one of the most important senators in the trade debate, said, “Unfortunately I am afraid this deal appears to fall woefully short.”
This week, Big Pharma expressed its anger at the TPP requiring “only” an eight year patent monopoly for biologic drugs, when 12 years are the law in the United States. The U.S. will have to harmonize its laws with the TPP. Obama held a meeting with the pharmaceutical executives at the White House to assuage them, but he failed. The Hill Reports Big Pharma is “searching for a playbook in its effort to keep Congress from ratifying the deal next year.” Senator Hatch says that support for the TPP is shrinking in the Senate and “I’ve heard some very trying things that may very well make it impossible to pass.” The largest recipient of pharmaceutical funding is Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. He is also funded by the tobacco lobby, which is trying to top the TPP.
However, we know that we can’t take anything for granted. Enough promises and arm-twisting by the president, congressional leadership and heads of transnational corporations “convinced” just enough members of Congress (with massive donations) to vote for fast tack as were needed. We will have to do more than make phone calls and write emails to stop the TPP and protect our communities.
The TPP is a bad deal. Just like every other similar agreement, it is going to outsource jobs, lower wages globally, increase the wealth divide, increase the U.S. trade deficit, undermine democracy, weaken the federal court system, degrade the environment and undermine sovereignty at every level of government. The more people who learn about this deal, the worse it will look, and if we resist it, the likelihood of passage in Congress will shrink.
And, similar to the TPP, the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership is having troubles in Europe. Europeans see TTIP either not advancing or going in the wrong direction because of the heavy handedness of the U.S. The French negotiator said: “France is considering all options including an outright termination of negotiations.” More than 3 million people across Europe signed a petition calling on the European Commission to scrap the agreement and hundreds of thousands marched in Berlin on Oct. 10 opposing the TTIP. People realize that rather than opening up new markets, since the U.S. and EU countries already trade a great deal, it will privatize of public services for corporate profits.
As TPP struggles, protests increase
The more than two year fight in Washington to stop fast track also made the environment more complicated for proponents. The battle over fast track was a brutal one. The final legislation built in requirements that cause multi-month delays from the time negotiators reach agreement to the time the TPP goes to Congress. And it built in the requirement that trade agreements be made public for 60 days before Congress begins to consider them. We will also know what laws need to be changed to comply with the TPP’s requirements. This gives the trade justice movement time to educate and mobilize people in opposition. Many of the challenges facing the negotiators are the result of people rising up all over the world against these trade agreements. This has made it more difficult for governments to negotiate, as they know if they go too far they risk rejection at home.
Even with fast track, it will be challenging to get Congress to ratify trade agreements. The timing has also put the countries involved in a bind, as multiple countries — especially the U.S. — will be in the midst of elections. The elections make it more complicated because in both parties there are key candidates like Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump who oppose the agreements, as does Green Party candidate Jill Stein, making the TPP an election year issue. Members of Congress also seeking re-election know the TPP is toxic and supporting it could cost them their political careers.
Stopping the TPP and other trade agreements is going to require a mass mobilization on the streets and online. Political activists now recognize that the TPP impacts every issue, which is good for building a unified movement against it because that is necessary.
The TPP gives incredible power to foreign banks to move money in and out of countries without restrictions. It minimizes regulation of big finance to allow risk-tasking that endangers the world economy. Countries that need money will be enslaved by loans from big finance like Citigroup, and once they are in debt, they will be unable to stand up to the demands of banksters who threaten them as we witnessed recently in Greece. At its root, the TPP is about modern colonialism. It is the way that Western governments and their transnational corporations, including Wall Street banks, can dominate the economies of developing nations. To be part of the TPP, governments are required to allow foreign ownership of property, including buying land in signatory countries. The TPP allows corporate trade tribunals to overrule their laws, acquire resources cheaply and provide slave wages to workers. And, if all else fails, the U.S. and allied militaries will be there to enforce agreements.
The reality is that without trade justice there cannot be climate justice, food justice; there cannot be health justice or wage justice. Injustice in trade undermines all the issues the social movement is working to correct.
As a result the largest trade justice movement has developed and is growing. Be part of this cultural shift that will challenge corporate power and build the power of people.
